North Wales is a place that delivered more than I expected, this was a road trip with my 2 photography buddies, that started with a broken van and 3 days stuck in the beautiful medieval city of Chester, that wasn't even planned on the route.
We were fortunate with the weather, with the places we picked to see and with the unexpected places we didn't plan to visit, altogether a fantastic road trip and plans to return.
I found the local people very chilled and friendly.
There were spots that reminded me of Ireland, England and even the Alps.
There was not much hiking this time, maybe we're just getting too old, or was the layout of the trip we planned.
Highlights for me, maybe Colwyn, Chester, Betws-y-coed, Twr Mawr Lighthouse and Llechwedd Quarry, but there's much more to offer.
The Llechwedd Quarry, we got there on a rainy and foggy day, which fitted even better the mood of the place, a very unique location, that wasn't one of the locations I wasn't very keen to see and was greatly rewarded, what a stunning and epic location.
Now we just have to plan a return trip, and I look forward for the challenge of having reduced the amount of equipment.
Less distractions and more focus and time to enjoy the views.
